Description
Mugwort is a perennial in the Asteraceae (daisy) family. For centuries people around the world have drank Mugwort in tea to strengthen the immune system, improves digestion, and reduces fatigue. This medicinal plant is valued for its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and stress reducing properties, but it is also anthelmintic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, carminative, cholagogue, diaphoretic, digestive, emmenagogue, expectorant, nervine, purgative, stimulant, and slightly tonic. The leaves are said to be appetizer, diuretic, haemostatic and stomachic used internally (in moderation) or externally. In addition, the plant repels insects.
