Description
Sweet basil has been used for thousands of years as a culinary and medicinal herb. When compared to Genovese the
flavor and scent of our Mammoth Basil are sweeter and less clove like. Use Basil in pesto, as a garnish and flavoring in salads, sauces and dressings. But Basil is more than a kitchen herb. Therapeutic benefits of this Italian staple include easing flatulence, stomach cramps, colic and indigestion. As a companion plant, Basil is a natural mosquito and pest repellent and should be planted near tomatoes of course, but also beets and asparagus.
