Description

Agrimony Plant, or Sticklewort, is a perennial medicinal herb in the Rosacea family. Agrimony is known for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, analgesic, astringent, diuretic, and bitter therapeutic actions. Gather its aerial parts when the flowers have just opened, and use in water-based extracts including infusions, decoctions, and gargles. A medicinal powerhouse and pollinator magnet, Agrimonia treats respiratory, urinary, and digestive issues, and heals wounds. In addition, this plant has been used to ease stress and tension. Fun Facts: in the language of flowers, Agrimony means thankfulness or gratitude. Its stems, leaves and flowers make a yellow dye and were used to increase the storage stability of beer.
