Description
Feverfew or Bachelor’s Button has a long history as a medicinal herb used for fever and migraine relief. This perennial in the Asteraceae (daisy) family is traditionally used externally in salves, poultices, and for strewing. The 15th century herbalist Nicholas Culpeper called for bruising the herb and pressing it to your wrists at the first sign of a headache. Feverfew is analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, and anti-spasmodic. It naturally repels insects including bees, butterflies and mosquitos. Plant beside roses to deter aphids. Harvest its aerial parts in Summer. Download our Feverfew Plant PDF Reference sheet.
